Each Breeding Syndicate has its own initial bloodstock profolio spread internationally in both the northern and southern hemispheres. Each Syndicate profolio will compromise a basket of horses including mares, horses in training, yearlings, foals and stallion shares. The Syndicate will each own 50% of their baskets with the other 50% being owned by the Club. Each Syndicate will enjoy an on-going income stream generated from yearling sales, stallions dividends and racing prize money. The first syndicate under planning, Redwood Syndicate, consists of 50% ownership of the following basket of: a) Inshallah (Zabeel x Fiery Pax by Plush), multiple Group 2 winning mare with 7 wins by super sire Zabeel; now in foal to Japanese Champion racehorse Jungle Pocket
b) Our Aspirations (Mi Preferido x Nancora by Namnan), Stake winning mare with 5 wins now in foal to Hong Kong Derby winner, Lucky Owners c) Mulan Magic (Kings Theatre x Chalet Girl by Imposing), from the Eight Carat family of Octagonal, Diamond Lover, Kaapstad, Danewin and Commands; half-sister to Monards, winner of over HK$5 million in Hong Kong, now in foal to Danroad. 2) Shares of two stallions the Club and/or its co-founders has interests in: a) Two shares* of Danroad (Danehill x Strawberry Girl by Strawberry Road), at studs in both Southern and Northern hemispheres
b) One share* of Lucky Owners (Danehill x Miss Priority by Kaapstad), winner of the Hong Kong Derby (HK-G1) and International Mile (HK-G1), at studs in both southern and northern hemispheres. (subject to final approval of syndicate manager of Lucky Owners) *Stallion shares are based on a total of 100 shares 3) Five shares in the northern hemisphere breeding right of a Group Placed colt: Grand Central (Sadler's Wells - Rebecca Sharp by Machiavellian), dam a winner of Group One Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot; Grand Central, winner at 2, is G2 & G3 placed in the UK & Ireland and ran fourth in Secretariat Stakes (US-G1) recently. Presently, Grand Central is preparing for a Group 2 race in October, then he will come to Hong Kong aiming for the Hong Kong Derby 2006; a future stallion prospect.
4) A yearling filly by Xaar out of Quasi Stellar, first foal, early foal born on There are ten units in the Redwood Syndicate. Subject to certain conditions, the Club guarantees 5% annual return payable annually for the first three years. Each syndicate will be managed by a syndicate manager appointed by the Club from among the ten participating members in the syndicate. The Club will organize monthly luncheon meetings for the participating members and the manager will provide updates on the following: a) the foals' status, such as conformations and suitability for major upcoming auctions Risk Factors
There are many factors that cause the future value of any syndicates to fluctuate and also the income from the syndicates to fluctuate. The syndicates described here are not suitable for all members.
